Deep River Band - Rocks LP. 1981 hard rock album on the Erect Records label. They look southern rock but they sound only mildly southern rock in a 38 Special sort of way, it's a pretty straight up hard rock aor sound. No doubt this is a band that thrived on work, and sounded better with the shackles cast aside and the foot off the pedal. I'd be interested to know if there was any other material out there, because the pomp and harder rockin' tracks are really quite good. We really need to source more of these rarities before we all forget they exist!
