Carol Grimes & Delivery - Canterbury Scene • United Kingdom

Founded in 1966 as "Bruno's Blues Band" - Disbanded in 1972 - One-off gig at London's Vortex on June 29th, 1998. Also known as CAROLE GRIME'S DELIVERY, this outfit has an impressive line-up: brothers Phil Miller and Steve Miller on guitars and keyboards, Roy Babbington on bass, Pip Pyle on drums, Lol Coxhill on saxes all backing up singer Carol Grimes - you would expect one Mother of a Canterbury group dishing out some killer jazz-fusion-rock. Well not quite! The results gives a bluesy-rock with slight Canterbury leanings and it probably reflects the fact that they existed since 66 but never recorded anything until 70. Fools Meeting is an album by Carol Grimes with the British blues/progressive rock band Delivery, founded in the late 1968. The band was one of the wellsprings of the progressive rock Canterbury scene. Fools Meeting was their only album, originally released on vinyl in 1970. A CD re-release with additional tracks was released by Cuneiform Records.
