Jawbone - Psychedelic Folk Rock (UK)

Jawbone was born from the ashes of The Mirage and Turquoise, two of the UK's greatest cult Pop-Psych bands, and their lone 1970 album rounds off their stories perfectly. Expanded and intensified with the addition of three non-LP single sides! Featuring customarily in-depth liner notes by noted Psych nutter Stefan Granados and brand new interview material with the band! A must for all fans of late '60s British Pop, Rock and Psychedelia.

The only album by a British band playing baroque-psycho music with folk intonations. The team was created by former musicians "The Mirage" and "Turquoise", two cult British pop-nutties collectives. Jawbone included Ray Glynn (guitar), Dave Hynes (percussion), Pete Hynes (vocals), Dee Murray (bass) and Jeff "Gus" Peters (second bass guitar). In addition, Ray and Dave had time to play a little bit in The Spencer Davis Group, but at the end of 1969 they realized that it was better to create a new own project. And Pete and Dee stayed with Elton John for a while. The band was first named "The Portebello Explosion" and under that name it managed to release the Beatles single "We Can Fly". After the publication of his single LP "Jawbone" in search of a stable earnings, they were re-qualified as ... Joe Brown's playing part. More than others, fate favored drummer Dave, who since the late 70's played with Steve Marriott.
