Jeff Beck (nascido Geoffrey Arnold Beck; Wallington, 24 de junho de 1944) é um guitarrista britânico que tocou em várias bandas influentes da década de 1960,incluindo os The Yardbirds. Foi considerado o 5° Melhor Guitarrista de todos os tempos pela revista norte-americana Rolling Stone. Assim como muitos músicos de sua época, Beck começou a carreira como guitarrista de estúdio. Em 1965 entrou para o Yardbirds, depois que Eric Clapton saiu do grupo. Dezoito meses depois se afastou do grupo, principalmente por problemas de saúde. Beck passou os anos seguintes com seu próprio grupo, o The Jeff Beck Group, cujos álbuns vendiam bem mas não eram muito comerciais. Conseguiu reconhecimento do grande público em 1975, ao gravar o álbum Blow by Blow em carreira solo. Uma característica marcante de seu trabalho é o fato de não se ater sempre ao mesmo estilo musical, optando por uma fusão de estilos que vão desde o jazz ao rock n' roll com um toque pessoal. Ele continua esporadicamente a gravar e lançar seus discos. Em seus últimos três discos ele fez um trabalho com música eletrônica. Ao contrário da maior parte dos guitarristas do rock, Jeff costuma tocar sem a palheta (o que pode ser visto ao vivo e/ou em vídeos das apresentações).

Jeff Beck Group - Truth (1968 )

Truth é o álbum de estréia do The Jeff Beck Group, lançado em 1968 no Reino Unido pela Columbia Records e nos Estados Unidos pela Epic Records. Ele introduziu o talento de Rod Stewart e Ronnie Wood para um público maior, e chegou ao número 15 na Billboard 200. Truth é considerado um trabalho seminal do heavy metal por causa de seu uso de blues em direção a uma abordagem hard rock.6 Tom Scholz do Boston listou-o como o seu álbum favorito na revista on-line da Gibson, afirmando: "Eu conheci o álbum Truth do Jeff Beck de dentro para fora ..."7 O título do álbum inspirou o nome da banda de Iowa Truth and Janey. O guitarrista de blues Joe Bonamassa gravou uma versão de estúdio de "Blues Deluxe" em seu álbum homônimo Blues Deluxe, de 2003, e gravou versões ao vivo no Live at Rockpalast (2005) e Live from the Royal Albert Hall (2009).

The Fire Meets the Fury Tour is a 1989 concert tour by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck. Epic Records paired the two guitarists together for a 28-day concert tour starting in Bloomington, Minnesota. They rehearsed at Prince' Paisley Park Studios before beginning the tour at Northrup Auditorium.

Jeff Beck & Terry Bozzio - Guitar Shop (1989)

Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop is the fifth studio album by guitarist Jeff Beck, released in October 1989 through Epic Records. The album reached No. 49 on the Billboard 200 chart[4] and later won the award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1990 Grammys;[5][4] this being Beck's second album to win that award, after Flash (1985). "Stand on It" reached No. 35 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart; "Sling Shot" was featured in the 1990 horror comedy film Gremlins 2: The New Batch; several tracks were also used as part of the soundtrack for the "South Atlantic Raiders" episodes of the British comedy series The Comic Strip Presents. In a further move from his previous jazz fusion stylings, Beck adopts a more straightforward instrumental rock approach on this album, save for two tracks on which drummer Terry Bozzio provides spoken vocals.

Jeff Beck - 1972 - Jeff Beck Group

Jeff Beck Group is the fourth studio album by The Jeff Beck Group and the second album with the line up of Jeff Beck, Bobby Tench, Clive Chaman, Max Middleton and Cozy Powell. The album was produced by Steve Cropper and often referred to as the Orange Album, because of the orange which appears prominently at the top of the front cover. During January 1972 the second Jeff Beck Group flew to the US and joined Beck at TMI Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Some of the songs they worked on were already in their stage act and unlike Rough and Ready they also recorded five cover songs for this album, including a new version of Ashford & Simpson's "I Can't Give Back the Love I Feel For You" and Carl Perkins's Sun Records release, "Glad All Over" (1957). The Cropper and Beck collaboration "Sugar Cane" was one of several songs written whilst in the studio. At an "end of recording party", Beck was congratulated by Don Nix on his version of "Going Down", which Nix had written and which was originally released by the band Moloch in 1969.[3] Freddie King had covered the song in 1971. The album was released in the US on 1 May 1972. The UK release was held back until 9 June the same year[4] and tours of the UK and the US followed. There were no singles taken from this album.
