The São Paulo rock horror band Zumbis do Espaço, formed in 1996, combines punk rock, metal, country and rockabilly with themes influenced by movies, comics and horror literature. Tor, lead singer of the group considers the zombies an endangered race: "We are the last of those who make Rock 'N' Roll wild and dangerous, which probably offends many types of people." In addition to Tor, the band, which has eight studio albums, currently features Zumbilly (drums), Gargoyle (bass) and Manialcöol (guitar).
