The Spiders is a Mexican rock band founded in Guadalajara, Mexico. Originally called "Los Spiders", this group was founded in 1960 by Manuel Olivera on bass, Guillermo Olivera on drums, "Chon" Cortés on keyboards, Carlos de Regil as vocalist and Reynaldo Díaz Vélez on guitar.
This group, like many others of the time, started playing in cafes, where young people from high school and high school met. Later these events were transformed into "tardies", promoted by some schools in the city and occasionally played in casinos such as the French Circle, The Spanish Casino, The Lions Club, and hotels like the former Hilton.
