AFAHYE is a pre-album, a public introduction of OSHUN. "Afahye" is a Fante term for a particular yam festival, a celebration of harvest, youth, and rebirth. It is also a part of Ayare-Sa Afahye, which is a cleansing festival where rites of passage initiates are presented to the community as warriors in training. AFAHYE is a commencement. OSHUN is presenting themselves as warriors to their community as they begin their journey of rebirth, redefinition, and revolution.

Planet Hemp is a Brazilian rap rock musical group, known for starting the career of rappers Marcelo D2 and BNegão for its lyrics supporting the legality of cannabis.[1] The band was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1993, with original members Marcelo D2, Skunk, Rafael, Formigão and Bacalhau. The band broke up in 2001 due to differences between the band members, and Marcelo D2 and BNegão are increasing focus on their solo projects. Since 2013 the band reunited and there are plans for new albums. The group had an explicit position in favor of the legalization of cannabis (marijuana) and was accused of apology to the use, fact that generated many divergences and put Planet Hemp as one of the main bands of Brazil in the decade of 1990. The band returned to to meet on stage on October 20, 2010 at a party organized by MTV Brasil to commemorate the 20 years of the broadcast in Brazil.

Marcelo D2 (born Marcelo Maldonado Gomes Peixoto, November 5, 1967, in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian rapper. Acoustic MTV was the first acoustic album by Brazilian rap and hip hop singer Marcelo D2. The album was attended by his son Stephan, Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and BNegão, former partner of the time they were part of the group Planet Hemp. This was the third album of the solo career of the singer, being awarded with Gold Disc by ABPD in format CD and DVD for more than 50 thousand and 25 thousand copies sold, respectively.

Pepe DeLuxé - Trip Hop Downtempo Grooves (Finland)

Pepe Deluxé is a Finnish electronic music oriented band, formed in 1996 by DJ Slow (Vellu Maurola) JA-Jazz (Tomi Castrén, formerly Paajanen) and James Spectrum (Jari Salo) in Helsinki, Finland. They started to experiment with sounds of hip hop, big beat, breakbeat and downtempo. With the 2007 release Spare Time Machine the band gave up on sampling and concentrated on vintage music styles including Psychedelia, Baroque Pop and Surf Rock.[1] DJ Slow departed the band in 2001 to pursue solo projects. JA-Jazz has been off-duty since 2008. Multi-instrumentalist Paul Malmström became official member of the band in 2008.[2]

The Pepe Deluxé live line-up consists of Mirkka Paajanen (vocals), Miikka Paatelainen (guitar, theremin), Markku Reinikainen (drums), Ville Riippa (keyboards), James Spectrum (mixing, percussion) and Edward Greendanger (VJ).

Somewhere between big-beat techno and more laidback trip-hop, the first album by Pepe Deluxe works in familiar territory. Many of these samples have been heard before, and the influences (ranging from easy listening to soundtracks to hip-hop) aren't very original either. Even if Super Sound doesn't earn points for the sound, however, it's an album of crisp grooves and hook-inflected tracks that never get boring.

M.O.P. (short for Mash Out Posse) is an American hip hop duo. Composed of rappers Billy Danze and Lil' Fame, the duo are known for their aggressive lyrical delivery style. Although they maintain a strong underground following, they are mainly known for the song "Ante Up", released on their Warriorz album in 2000, and with which they have had mainstream success. The group has frequently collaborated with DJ Premier. Fame sometimes produces under the moniker Fizzy Womack, and has produced a significant number of tracks on all M.O.P. releases since 1996's Firing Squad, as well as work for other artists including Kool G Rap, Teflon and Wu-Tang Clan.

Brandon Paak Anderson(born February 8, 1986), better known by his stage name Anderson Paak (stylized as Anderson .Paak), is an American rapper, songwriter, drummer, singer and record producer from Oxnard, California. He released his debut album, O.B.E. Vol. 1 in 2012, under the pseudonym Breezy Lovejoy. He went on to release Venice in 2014, under his current moniker. Paak followed with Malibu, in 2016, which received a nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the Grammy Awards. Apart from his solo career, Paak is also one-half of NxWorries, alongside record producer Knxwledge. He is accompanied by the band The Free Nationals, who play a variety of instruments such as electric guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, and drums, and also serve as backing vocalists.

9 Deadly Venoms is the debut album by Depth Charge, and alias of UK producer Jonathan Saul Kane. The album compiles several 12" singles released by Kane under the Depth Charge name in the preceding five years. Kane is often cited as a forerunner of trip hop and an influence on labels such as Mo'Wax and Ninja Tune. The tracks on the album comprise instrumental hip-hop beats with dialogue and musical samples from films, particularly martial arts movies, westerns and horror films.

Some sources have claimed that the versions of the tracks included on the CD version of the album are shorter edits, and that the vinyl contains the longer, unedited 12" versions. However, this is not the case. Initial copies of the CD version came with a bonus disc featuring extra tracks from the Hubba Hubba Hubba EP.
